PolacanthusPolacanthus is a long time dead but I still use that name due to a lack of a) imagination and b) output. If you're looking for actual old Polacanthus music then a) you won't find it here and b) what is wrong with you?Instead, here's a couple of songs that actually got past my own quality control (ie. I finished writing them and then recorded them). Well, the first one did. The second one could probably be brushed up a little. Well, okay, they could probably both be brushed up a little. Okay, they're both shit. I don't care. You came here so the joke's on you. Trousers of TimeThis was written a long time ago in a galaxy not as far away I would like. But still fairly distant. And recorded pretty soon after it was written. And most people have heard it now either in this form or an entertaining electro version (which would technically qualify as Polacanthus) that I can't seem to find.C.Whaymand: Lyrics, vocals and guitar J.Collison: Recording, effects and generally making the vocals less bad Trousers of Time PetroleumThis was written three years before its eventual recording in December 2010. And didn't really change at all in that time. Until the last 3 hours when it suddenly morphed from an acoustic song into an electric one because the acoustic version wasn't working. An hour of messing with an acoustic guitar before defenestrating it and switching to electric and failing to play that to any degree of competency instead. But not bad for three hours work.Followed by an evening in Watton that was even less successful. Seriously, don't go there at night. Or at all. C.Whaymand: Lyrics, vocals and attempted guitar J.Collison: Recording, effects and drums. And trying to tactfully point out the bad guitar bits Petroleum I have other songs on the go that might see the light of day but I'm not convinced that songs that don't get written and finished in one evening ever get finished at all. That's all folks. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here. Well, you can I guess. But you probably know the update frequency by now... |
